Teams

Teams

Some teams may reach a satisfactory or even high level of performance, but they lack the spirit of a true team. There are also some teams that feel they could be better and so they ask “How good could we be?"

For teams to succeed sometimes they have to overcome tough challenges, including:

  • New directions or a different charter
  • Seemingly unrealistic or unachievable deadlines and workloads
  • High levels of conflict and/or poor communication
  • Changes in team membership

Teams facing these sorts of challenges need help to maintain/regain focus. Left alone, they can become unproductive and very costly in terms of potential staff loss and missed opportunities. With support, teams can recover their direction and momentum, and develop into work units that deliver superior results whilst ensuring satisfaction for the team members.

Wilson Learning’s Teams Curriculum addresses both the form – the process of team development and management, and the essence – the behaviour of teams, as groups and individuals.
